Publisher's Synopsis
The purpose of the Ispra-courses Seminar held in November 1985 and of this book, which contains most of the material presented on that occasion is first to provide readers with some general principles and then to expose them to a broad spectrum of applications so that they may come to appreciate the similarities and differences in the approaches taken. In each case an explanation of the physical nature of the particular multiphase flow applications is followed by a presentation of the model adopted, emphasizing its distinguishing features. The technique employed for the numerical solution is then discussed usually supported by numerical results.
