The 3rd International Workshop on "Model orientedData-Analysis" took place at St. Petersburg University,Russia, May 25-30, 1992.The conference covers theoretical and applied statisticswith a heavy emphasis on experimental design. Thecorresponding approaches are fundamentally based onthe ideathat a system (object and experiment) has to be described bysome mathematical model to make any experimental designreasonable. This fact has mainly motivated the choice of theworkshop's title.This proceedings volume consists of three main parts:I Optimal DesignII Statistical ApplicationsIII Stochastic Optimization.
