When Amanda Saunders' sister Carole comes to Honolulu with her boss, fashion designer Derek Wider, to do a benefit fashion show, she does not expect to be arrested for murder. But that's exactly what happens when the benefit's hostess and one of the other models are murdered during the fashion show. The investigating homicide detective is sure she's guilty but the evidence is so flimsy the District Attorney refuses to press charges. Then a third body shows up, the wife of King Kalakaua, Honolulu's Number One news anchor and a Mormon Bishop. And the new victim just happens to work for wealthy Honolulu entrepreneur Masao Akiyama, the husband of the first victim. So are the killings connected?Honolulu private investigator Victor Keolanui has his hands full with this case, but he gets some assistance from Bobby Johnson, another P.I., who is also Kalakaua's wife's sister.
