Au mois de juillet dernier j'allai � Douai pour faire ent�riner des lettres de gr�ces qui m'avaient �t� accord�es en t818. A mon retour je demandai en communication les feuilles imprim�es de mes M�moires et comme ma r�int�gration dans les droits de citoyen ne me laissait plus redouter aucune rigueur arbitraire de la part de l'autorit� je me proposai de refondre dans mon manuscrit tout ce qui est relatif � la police, afin de le compl�ter par des r�v�lations dont je m'�tais jusqu'alors abstenu.
