Publisher's Synopsis
This text is concerned with scientific, engineering, socio-economic and policy dimensions of mitigation and adaptation strategies. These strategies are being actively conceptualized, tested and implemented at regional, national and global scales as environmental treaties and agreements are promulgated.;The relatively broad scope of the journal is necessary to reach an active international consensus of evolving technical and policy options in order to cope with issues such as global climate change and stratospheric ozone depletion, acid deposition, as well as other emerging environmental problems. Global change issues, as well as potential mitigation and adaptation options, are interdisciplinary in scope. This journal provides a forum designed to encourage development, critical examination and debate on global change response options which contribute to the decision-making of real-time policy strategies.
