Long ago in a faraway land, an old lady named Miss Lity lived alone on a farm. Miss Lity never felt lonely because the animals from the nearby woods visited her every day and kept her company. Among all the animals, the squirrels were her favorite. Their big, round eyes and their fluffy tails were most pleasing to Miss Lity. One day, she spots a mouse eating nuts among the squirrels. Miss Lity has a deep dislike of mice as they once invaded her attic. The mouse is then confronted by Miss Lity and is chased away to the woods. Feelings are hurt, angers flare, and a surprise awaits Miss Lity the following day.Told in verses, it is a story of an unusual friendship that will be enjoyed by the young and the old.
