Charlie's never had good taste in men. After her last break up, that led her back home with her parents, she promised them that she would do better in choosing the men she dated. Moving on after her break up she gets her own place and a job. Everything is going well for Charlie until she begins getting letters in the mail from an incarcerated man. Sick of the letters coming to her new place, Charlie decides to write back to explain that whomever he's looking for no longer resides at the address. Leo Shipmen has been in jail serving time for a drug charge. Being locked away is giving him time to think about his life and how he wants to change. Receiving a letter from Charlie, they hit things off quickly. Charlie is the woman he wishes he'd met before he'd gotten into trouble and he promises her that once he is free, he will be the man of her dreams. Charlie and Leo fall for one another abruptly, but what happens when her overbearing parents find out about Leo and does everything in their power to break them up?
