The Commission noted that on each of the sketches, namely, the Declare-tion of Independence and the Constitution of the United States, Mr. Faulkner had indicated standards of the colonies instead of the sculptural figures shown in the previous sketches.
Mr. Savage sent the following comment approving these revised sketches.
