Excerpt from Minutes of the Eighteenth Annual Convention of the United Daughters of the Confederacy North Carolina Division: Held at Raleigh, North Carolina, October 14, 15, 16, 1914
Chapter Presidents will remember that all taxes, both State and General, must be paid to the State Treasurer, before votes can be counted in Convention. State Taxes are now 15 cents, and Gen eral Taxes 10 cents, making 25 cents to be sent for each member to State Treasurer. At the same time send from each Chap ter to Sinking Fund.
