Messages from the Heart is a collection of writings by Deacon Jim Sura to inspire readers to explore and expand their relationship with God. Deacon Jim's hope is that God will become more real for you. Seek Him, listen to Him. He will give your heart a stronger beat, and your face a brighter smile. The messages compiled in the first part of the book: "Part I - A Message from the Deacon," consist of weekly bulletin messages to the parishioners of Deacon Jim's parish at a time of significant change in administration. The second part of the book: "Part II - Thursdays with the Deacon," consists of homilies on the Gospels of our Lord that Deacon Jim wrote and delivered at weekday masses and occasionally on Sundays during the liturgical year.
