Il est vrai: Charles Perrot n'a occupe aucune place eminente; aucun de ses ouvrages n'a vu le jour, aucun progres evident, aucune revolution morale ne se rattache 'a son nom; ce n'est meme que par hasard, et pour resoudre des enigmes historiques ou ce nom etait mele, que j'ai commence a m'occuper delui. Cependant je crois cet homme digne d'attention et d'interet.
