In the American Journal of the Medical Sciences for April, 1876, is an article, occupying 53 closely printed pages, from his pen on the History of American Surgery from 1776 to which is one of several papers prepared by different writers illustrative of the progress of the different branches Of medicine in this country during the century, and which, together with those papers, was issued in book form under the title of a Century of American Medicine.
