Excerpt from Memoir of Rev. Michael Wigglesworth, Author of the Day of Doom
This memoir was originally prepared for the New England Historical and Genealogical Register, and was published in that periodical in April, 1863. The same type was used to print one hundred copies, in pamphlet form, for private distribution. The present edition is consider ably enlarged.
The Appendix contains a brief autobiography, a collation of the different editions of his poems, and a catalogue of his library.
