Publisher's Synopsis
Memo-ries is a series of stories recounting my experience growing up in East L.A. between 1970's and 1980's. The stories are of my childhood the way I choose to remember them. The stories range from our makeshift farm in the barrio to my mother's culinary inventions of which I was one of her guinea pigs. They recount tales of my father's alcoholism and of the way my siblings and I put the FUN in dysFUNctional. The stories are told in a humorous way, as I believe that laughter is a great way to cope and makes for a better read.
