Publisher's Synopsis
Meditation is a simple but essential activity that we can utilize as a coping tool that can help us overcome grief, traumatic events, fears, anxiety, depression, harmful emotions, and other daily negative events we might face. Incorporating meditation in our daily life can also benefit us physically reducing pain and can positively impact other various multifactorial diseases such as; diabetes, hypertension and fibromyalgia, to name some. Meditation can help the human person to rewire neurons and positively impact the nervous system. Furthermore, it is important to mention that we can encounter some mental disorders symptoms directly connected to our central nervous system (PTSD for example), our central nervous system is also directly connected to our emotions. By consequence we can dare to consider that our spirituality is parallel connected with our emotions through our nervous system. Through meditation, we can deactivate our "fight or flight" nervous system stage and we can turn on our "rest and digest'' parasympathetic branch that promotes proper body regulation, where we can feel more at ease and think more clearly. This manual will provide the reader with multiple ways to incorporate body-mind meditation in our life as a wellness coping activity. The manual also provides a basic meditation key concept of being consciously aware of our body, to mentally live in the present, by aiming to align body, mind and spirit as a sole trinitarian unity. The identification of personal trauma(s) through the different stages in life, is essential to uncover, in order to become aware of the root of the problem as an important component for personal growth. Meditation can help us to experience transcendental life improvements, aiming for a life free from negative emotions and full of love and joy.
