This text offers the first eight chapters of Computing Essentials for the instructor who wants to offer a very brief introduction to computers course. The business-oriented chapters have been omitted. The text is also available packaged with a CD-ROM for students, covering topics from the text plus demonstrations, simulations, projects, tests and exercises.;Colour illustrations, photos and charts reinforce the text while visual summaries at the end of each chapter capture the key concepts. Each chapter offers competencies, review questions, discussion questions, projects and a visual summary. An online testing package supports the text.
