Now Nicodemus was a Pharisee at the top of his field. Not only is he a member of the Sanhedrin, but he was also the most renowned Bible teacher of his day, like we still have among us, the modern-day Pharisees of our time. Nicodemus watched the crowds as they listened to the Lord Jesus, and he knew he had never pulled the attention of an audience as Jesus does.
