Publisher's Synopsis
Journey with Stephen Daedalus in his path from a Mars Simulation Hab in the southern Utah desert, to the discovery of a new planetary propulsion engine to the outfitting of a Boeing 747 and a trip to Mars. On the return trip, a space probe containing the story of a near, technologically mature civilization is encountered. The story of this civilization causes a great stir and ultimately changes the viewpoint of our peoples. Based on several sound scientific ideas, this story asks the question, "why can't we?" with regards to taking a trip to Mars. The technology is available now, all that needs to be changed is our attitude.
