Note. - The obituary notice with which this tract is introduced, appeared, about two years ago, in the Christian Index. Not long after it was published, it was suggested to the writer, by a very distinguished clergymen of the State, to prepare a tract, containing the substance of that obituary, together with such remarks as might seem appropriate, upon the religious education of the young. Various causes, however, have delayed the preparation of the following pages.
