Publisher's Synopsis
The promotion of respect for human rights is one of the essential purposes of the UN. All governments are expected to submit reports on the extent to which they have fulfilled their commitments resulting from the ratification of or accession to a particular human rights convention. The UN noticed, though, that many reports were not submitted on time. As a consequence, regional training courses were organized on human rights reporting for appropriate government officials. This manual incorporates the experience and expertise gained during these courses.
