Publisher's Synopsis
Microsoft's Internet Information Server (IIS) is a World Wide Web server designed to simplify server HTML documents over the Internet and within organizations. Unlike many Web servers, IIS does so as an integral part of Microsoft's Windows NT operating system. This work aims to teach users how to best plan, design, implement and maintain IIS. It focuses on administrative issues such as monitoring, troubleshooting and securing the Web server. These issues are presented through examples and analysis. The book shows readers how to: integrate corporate and personal e-mail systems with IIS; save time when working with Microsoft's Internet Server Application Programming Interface; and troubleshoot Web issues such as script failures, access problems, error handling and TCP/IP configuration problems.
