"The English Collection" is a resource for GCSE / Key Stage 4 - a collection of large-format books aiming to offer a real alternative to coursebooks.;The collection aims to offer pupils the opportunity to achieve understanding and expertise in each of the National Curriculum recommended media. It can also be used as the basis of a modular scheme, for group work and for pupils working on their own. In addition, each book aims to encourage continual self-assessement and helps pupils see for themselves how their work relates to GCSE criteria.;Focusing on poetry, this volume offers students a model showing them how to look at and respond to a variety of poems. It leads pupils through the process of responding to poems, drafting and revising their own poems and working towards their own anthology.
