I have worked in the prison system for twenty-three years as well as working in the ministry for twenty-eight years. I have seen inmates come and go with some seemingly going through a revolving door--in and out, over and over, time after time. Some had told me that I would never see them again prior to leaving and before long they would be standing in my office again. You can break the cycle, however, if you choose the right path. One thing I have seen work over and over is when there has been a genuine change in a person's heart. Change the heart and the body will follow. Change the heart and you will change the thinking. With God's help it is possible for you to change courses. There is life after incarceration.
