It includes both detailed statistical information on the economy and the opinions of the farmers themselves about what they most need to help them prosper. It suggests that by building on this advice, donors and development agencies could invest in a development package which would significantly increase the margin for failure in family budgets, boosting their chances of surviving future drought years.
