Enduring six week long cramped shipboard journeys as a teenager alone from Australia to England. Being imprisoned in Czechoslovakia in 1969. Living in a kombi van while driving through Europe, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan Pakistan, India and Nepal en route to Australia. "From the age of four I have always had to adjust to leaving and being left by the people I love.
