BACKGROUND
The term geopolymer was in the 1970s by Prof. Joseph Davidovits with the
French researchers applied to a class of source materials synthesized by the
the reaction of an alkaline solution with an aluminosilicate powder [1]. There are a few
different names when it comes to describing a geopolymer; for example, inorganic
polymer and alkali-activated materials (AAM), due to the wide range of formulations.
