Publisher's Synopsis

This book is a reprint of a vintage report that discusses concepts of using lunar resources and materials for in-space construction projects. It is the Executive Summary, Volume I of the Final Report entitled "Lunar Resources Utilization for Space Construction," originally published in 1979, and submitted to NASA by the Convair Division of General Dynamics. About 70 pages long and only a few illustrations. This report is reprinted for historical and research purposes only. It is Volume 1 of a new series of reprints from Mooncat Collectibles called "Space Dreams of the 1980s." Each reprinted report focuses on an aspect of space transportation architecture (space infrastructure) as imagined during the 1980s.
