Publisher's Synopsis
Contained in this Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) for Lower Hatchie National Wildlife Refuge are the proposed management actions and direction for the refuge over the next 15 years. When fully implemented, this plan would strive to achieve the vision, goals, and objectives for the refuge developed by a planning team of representatives of government and private groups, as well as private individuals. Overriding considerations reflected in the plan are that fish and wildlife conservation requires first priority in refuge management and that wildlife-dependent recreation is allowed and encouraged as long as it is compatible with, or does not detract from, the mission of the National Wildlife Refuge System or the purpose for which the refuge was established.
