Publisher's Synopsis

The Internet of Things is a concept that refers to the possibility of connecting everyday equipment to the Internet or a database through the use of sensors, automating everything possible. Applying this concept to homes brings benefits such as energy savings, comfort and increased security. The Cordless Home home automation system acts on devices in the environment autonomously, with the aim of improving energy efficiency and avoiding wasteful consumption. This application uses pervasive and autonomous means, with an intelligent agent system which, by taking readings of the environment, controls it according to previously saved data. The control method is carried out using Perceptron neural network techniques, which are modeled according to user interaction. The experimental analysis is carried out using a prototype installed in a room, which controls a lamp and has movement and light sensors. With the action of the intelligent agent, the system is able to turn the lamp on and off, adapting to the environment and bringing convenience to the user, as well as avoiding energy waste.
