Publisher's Synopsis
Porsha is a law student who has always gone by the book. She has always listened to her parents, which is why she enrolled in law school. When Porsha attends an orientation party for school, she meets Jermaine, a popular drug dealer in the neighborhood. Jermaine's life is flashy, and that's something that Porsha isn't used to. She doesn't expect things to change, but her entire life is flipped upside down once she allows Jermaine in. Jermaine loves Porsha, but he does something to lose Porsha's trust in him. She tries her hardest to ride for Jermaine and remain loyal, but with him leaving her behind, constantly running the streets, she comes across Hood, a former associate of Jermaine's. Hood is her escape from all the negativity in her life. Although Hood is her escape, Jermaine is the man she is deeply connected to. The reality is, Porsha is stuck in a love triangle. Although Porsha is deeply tied to Jermaine, his lifestyle does not involve settling down with Porsha like Hood's does.
