A historical account of a woman whose early childhood began in China. Raised in a Presbyterian missionary family, she was educated at Wooster College where she met Wilbert White. They married on December 6, 1912 and had two children, one who was born deaf before he enlisted in the Air Corp and was killed in France in 1918. As a Gold Star widow of one of America's flying aces, she endured to co-author the book, Our Neighbors, The Chinese published by Rinehart in 1945. This book is dramatic, romantic, sad, humorous, and has a lesson for us all.
