The Freehold Loan and Savings Company was also incorporated by declaration filed under The Building Societies Act in 1859 under the name of The Freehold Permanent Building and Savings Society; the name being Changed to The Freehold Loan and Savings Company by 36 Victoria (ontario), C. 104. The London and Ontario Investment Company was incorporated by the Act of Ontario, 39 Victoria, 1876, C. 62.
