Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Little Brothers to the Scouts
Mother had promised the children that they should begin their Christmas shopping the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so as to get it all done before the real holiday rush began. But when that Saturday came, mother was not well; even nurse had to stay with her. But she was not too sick to think about the children and she sent word to Benson, father's chauffeur, that unless he had something special to do for father he might take the children shopping in the city. So Benson got the big automobile ready, while nurse bundled Eric and Midget up warmly, for it was a long ride and a very cold day, with more snow than they had ever seen before in November.
