Publisher's Synopsis

When 11-year-old Lisa comes home on a June day, she discovers that her mother had run away. Together with her father, she will search for her mother. They did so in the engine - the Big Chief of the American Indian. Why had Lisa's mother gone away? Maybe Lisa and her father will never fully understand this. As simple as they thought, finding her mother was not. Gradually, they felt the pressure of searching for her. Renso van Bergen (Groningen, 1938) worked in broadcasting (vpro, nos, nob). He studied Russian and was currently editor of a journal on current developments in Eastern Europe. He was also editor of the magazine Aether. Along with film historian Thomas Leeflang, he wrote some volumes of poetry and stories in the 90's. Renso's career began a Groningen art trade. Lisa, her father and a mother who ran away, was the second book he wrote under the pseudonym Jurgen Heyn.
