The voice had the abnormal deepness of someone using a voice changer.
Chris was momentarily chilled by the malicious sound of the voice, but that quickly changed into outrage. "Excuse me? Who's this?"
Out of his periphery he felt Andrea glancing from her cell to him, mild concern disturbing her cool affect.
"Don't worry about that," the voice said. There was a patience and a dark confidence to the voice that Chris didn't like. It was like the voice was in control, not Chris. "I know what you did," the voice said. "Five years ago."
