Only through Newspapers I learned of the European and above all American progress, and hoping that for a man desirous to make his fortune by labor there are chances in civilized countries, in 1887 I came to America. Afterwards, however, through my experience here and the detailed study of my environment, was convinced that Europe and America has some bitterness of life.
