My name is Mike Peterson.
A few years ago, I was just another ambitious professional chasing freedom. I thought freedom meant leaving my corporate job and becoming a full-time intraday trader. What I didn't realise was that I was trading something far more precious than money-my peace, my sleep, my sanity.
I wrote this story because I couldn't find it anywhere else.
Books taught me the technicals.
YouTube taught me the patterns.
But no one prepared me for the pain of loss, the addiction to the screen, or the deafening silence after the closing bell.
No one told me that my greatest rival wouldn't be the market-it would be myself.
This novel is based on the deepest parts of my journey.
Yes, the characters are fictionalised, and the trades are dramatized, but the emotions are raw and real. Every chapter is a candle on my chart-some green, some red-but each one led me to a clearer version of who I am.
If you are a trader, I hope this story reminds you that you're not alone.
If you are not, I still hope this story shows you what it means to fight for clarity, resilience, and truth in a world that constantly moves.
Because trading, in the end, is just another mirror of life.
And life-real life-is the only position truly worth holding.
