Publisher's Synopsis
The volume includes the proceedings of the 'Lezioni Marciane 2019-2021' held in the Monumental Rooms of the Marciana National Library in Venice by scholars of the most important universities and institutions of the Veneto Region. Both series of conferences (From the lagoon to the gulf of Venice, 2019; Venice, before origins, 2021) offer study and research perspectives useful for reconstructing the oldest history of the Venetian lagoon and the city of Venice, thanks to new interpretations of written sources and artifacts, as well as thanks to innovative investigation technologies.
