Philippe Grupont wrote Letters from the Hand in 1998 for twenty-six days. He poses the question, "Who am I?" He asks this question not only to himself, but to the environment formed by the blue and yellow, Einar Holbeul, the equally blue yellow, Natalya Redu, the ruddy, Sigurd Stubberup, the blue, Heather Achevaldos, the red-yellow, Marnie Kensington, the white black, Berend de Git, the purple, Piet Sneek, and the blonde, Rita Ieteren. Inevitably, it also raises the question, "How do I trade?" Jan Klein Lankhorst was born in Nijmegen in 1950. He studied history in Nijmegen and Amsterdam. As an archivist, he worked at the Radboud University, municipalities, and water boards. He is father of a son and two daughters. He has published Black Holes. He is also into painting abstract surfaces. In his current residence in Heiloo, he is working on his new book, The Sex of Forgotten Words.
