The work of the new department is sustained by all of those instructors who have hitherto been identified with the railway subjects given at Pur due, and by others who have reinforced the old organization.
But it was realized at the outset that the school could not attain the highest success unless we could bring to our aid the services of those who are in daily contact with the actual problems aris ing in the practical operation of the railways.
