He made his home in Fort Worth, Dallas, and surrounding areas for many years. In 1990 he moved to Norman, Oklahoma, where he met his future husband, Erik. They moved to Illinois in 1992, where they purchased the homestead in which Erik grew up. In 2014, when same sex marriage became legal, they married at their rural home with 130 family and friends attending the joyful ceremony. As of the publishing of this book, they have been together for 29 years. This book is dedicated to Erik, for always being by his side with love and support. Also, special thanks to two dear friends, Leatha and Marietta for their encouragement to write this novel. Sadly, Marietta passed away before this novel could be published. She will be greatly missed.
