I waited thirty-three years for someone to rescue me from my pain, I thought the worse the things I did to myself and let happen to me would bring a rescue from somewhere. But when I could not go any lower and I was not dying to spite all my best intentions, I had to rescue myself. Three years ago, I held my inner child, said sorry, stopped poisoning myself with drink and drugs, and found safety and love.
I know that listening to other people's stories about how they stopped drinking and hurting themselves after they had been abused and raped and made lives for themselves was vital for me, I needed to hear them as much as possible and I need to help people by telling them my story in return. I have decided to start at the beginning and give this story to the universe I hope it will help and hopefully inspire people to find that tiny bit of ember and strength left inside them none has stamped on and blow it into a fire that will warm you up and show you the way to love yourself and give yourself what you need, and you find peace through forgiveness. It is worth upsetting people who want to hold you back and keep you in a lie and shame. If it means freeing yourself and other people. The most important thing is that you are free.
