'Lavender Drops' is a poetry collection written by 'Luke Scott'. Taken from personal experiences these poems help create a space of artistic appreciation for some of life's most simplest moments and dissect the more darker and taboo parts of life we don't all feel we can express to others or sometimes even to ourselves. "I've written out my thoughts in the form poetry for years now. Whether it be walking down the street, visiting the forest, soaking in a nice hot bubble bath or sat at the beach; when the words come to me I just can't help but write them down and let them flow. I find it great for my mental health, I feel it's a way of slowly processing all the noise that is constantly occupying my mind and helps heal some of the trauma that I have found very challenging to overcome. So many of us get trapped in cycles of anxiety and depression but we aren't always given answers on how to deal with these cycles. But personally, I found that art is a great way to express these feelings and emotions and this is what this book is at it's core. It's a healing process. It's like the lavender drops to my bath or the sun to my sea. Writing has become a natural way of healing myself and I encourage anyone and everyone to stop for a minute to take a few deep breaths and do something for yourself to help when struggling with challenges that you might be facing. You are essential to your own existence and I feel we all need to be a little kinder to ourselves. Especially in the world we live in."
