Lace and gems are to women what stock and real estate are to men, and are the crowning glory of woman's attire; but, while many are familiar with facts in regard to gems, few are wise in lace lore, for little has been published upon the subject. The student in lace, there fore, is obliged to plck up a scrap of information here and a crumb there, and usually finds both unsatisfactory.
