This volume, with texts by Cristina Acidini, Beatrice Paolozzi Strozzi, and Giancarlo Gentilini, presents the substantial corpus of glazed terracottas held by the Museo Nazionale del Bargello. There is a detailed description of each item with color illustrations. Under its current, proactive management, the Museum has made further acquisitions including a large Pieta by Andrea della Robbia (unglazed and so excluded from this catalogue) and has recently begun a restoration program to improve the legibility of key works such as the Madonna and Child lunette of Luca della Robbia s Via dell Agnolo and Giovanfrancesco Rustici s Noli Me Tangere. The book also includes family trees and biographies of the artists, a documentary appendix by Jessica Corsi, concordances, and a bibliography.
