English summary: This collection of sermons contains the only extant handwritten sermons by Johann Joachim Spalding, obtained by the vicarage archives in Barth (Western Pomerania) with the help of his youngest grandson Karl Heinrich Sack. With their numerous corrections, insertions and changes, these manuscripts make it possible to follow the history of the sermons' composition and revision in an almost synchronous immediacy and an incomparable manner. In doing so, they provide insight into the author's normal everyday activities as a preacher who at that time did not intend to publish. This Critical Edition reconstructs the texts which Spalding intended to use for his sermons and at the same time makes it possible to decipher all the versions of the handwritten text editing without any problems. With its historical explanations as well as detailed indexes of Bible passages, names, places and subjects, this work provides valuable help for exploring the texts.
German description: Diese Predigtsammlung ist ihrerseits, was ihre Entstehungsgeschichte ermoglicht hat: ein Glucksumstand sondergleichen! Sie enthalt die einzigen handschriftlich uberlieferten Predigten Johann Joachim Spaldings, die uber seinen jungsten Enkel Karl Heinrich Sack in das Pfarrarchiv zu Barth (Vorpommern) gelangt sind. Mit ihren zahlreichen Korrekturen, Einfugungen und Umstellungen ermoglichen es diese Manuskripte auf unvergleichliche Weise, den Entstehungs- und Revisionsprozess der Kanzelreden in geradezu synchroner Unmittelbarkeit mitzuvollziehen. Dadurch gewahren sie Einblick in die normale, alltagliche, von keiner Publikationsabsicht begleitete Predigttatigkeit des Verfassers. Die Kritische Edition dieser Sammlung rekonstruiert den von Spalding zum Vortrag bestimmten Textbestand und erlaubt es zugleich, samtliche Varianten der handschriftlichen Textbearbeitung muhelos zu entschlusseln. Mit ihren historischen Erlauterungen sowie mit ausfuhrlichen Bibelstellen-, Namens-, Orts- und Sachregistern stellt sie wertvolle Erschliessungshilfen bereit.
