Publisher's Synopsis
What does it mean to be IN CHRIST-ED? Before I give you the meaning of what it means to be IN CHRIST-ED, let me give the definition of the two words and break them down first. IN means position of influence with someone powerful or famous. And we know that all power in heaven and earth was given to Christ, and His name is known throughout the universe. He is incredibly famous all over the world. He is well known as the author, pioneer, developer, strengthen-er, and finisher of faith. He is also well known as Savior, Lord, Healer, Deliverer, Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Teacher, King, High Priest, and He is also well known for so much more. Mat-thew 28:18 NIV says, Then Jesus came to them and said, all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. All authority is given to Christ by God the Father, and Christ has given His authority to the church, which is His body and bride. We are called as ambassadors to be a blessing to all nations. Jesus called us to go out to all the world and make disciples of all nations and spread His name and fame like in the days of old when He healed the sick, delivered the natural and spiritual diseased and raised the dead both naturally and spiritually. His name and fame went out to all the world in His day. Matthew 4:24 NIV Tell us, News about Him spread all over Syria. People brought to Him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and He healed them. CHRIST-ED means the power or right to give or-ders, make decisions, and enforce obedience. To be an ambassador of Christ is an immense privilege. An ambassador is a minister of the highest rank sent to a foreign court to represent the sovereign or coun-try. All believers all sent from the court of heaven by God to represent King Jesus and to do business for the King. Paul revealed to us in 2 Corinthians 5:20 that we are Christ's ambassadors. The Greek word translated as ambassador is presbeuo. It shares the same root as a presenter, which is one of the words used to describe church leaders. Whether you are in a recognized leadership role in the church or not, you are an ambassador of Christ according to 2 Co-rinthians 5:20, with the extraordinary privilege and responsibility of representing Jesus and being Je-sus' witness in the world because you are God's rep-resentative on earth. You are called to minister on His behalf in true righteousness, and holiness. Through every believer of Christ, God makes His appeal through us for others to receive His for-giveness, love, mercy, grace, kindness, compassion, goodness, and eternal salvation for everyone who believes in Him and calls upon the name of Jesus out of a pure and contrite heart. Every sinner is an enemy of God because they are a friend of the world. Therefore, whoever chooses to be a friend of the world renders himself an enemy of God. James 4:4 says, Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. He who gives himself to the world ways, culture, customs, and lifestyle of the world divorces himself from God and breaks the band of that holy and spiritual marriage because two cannot walk together except they are in agreement (Amos 3:3), and God is not in agreement with a sinful lifestyle or idolatry. Such unbridled lusts and pleasures are a disgrace to His amazing grace. We appeal to sinners to become friends of God and ambassadors themselves by accepting Jesus as Saviour and Lord. As royal ambassadors, we should act with diplomacy and skill because we are representing Jesus our righteous King on earth. Earthly ambassadors are chosen very carefully and wear a badge of honor. They have all been trained for duty in the art of diplomacy. Get to know the Kingdom Ammdassodor in You ...
