Publisher's Synopsis
The dead do not always rest. Some linger on, bound by the violent physics of their demise, trapped as Kineingeists, ghosts fuelled by kinetic energy. These are not mere Specters that whisper in the dark; they are forces of motion, rage, and relentless momentum. And they are FAR more dangerous than any ghost story has ever warned.
Most Kineingeists are born from sudden, violent death, where life was cut short in a burst of motion. A construction worker crushed by falling steel, a pedestrian flung through the air by a speeding car, a dancer who fell from a great height. Rarer is a form non-human who have not faded in the spiritual world. Instead, they become conduits of raw, unspent energy, bound by the physics they once obeyed in life. And now, in death, they wield it against the living.
Their abilities are as terrifying as they are unpredictable. Some hurl objects with impossible force, turning everyday items into deadly projectiles. Others generate gusts of wind strong enough to fling a grown man across a room. The most powerful can store motion, lying almost dormant until a victim walks by, then unleashing all their pent-up energy in a single, devastating strike. Footsteps, spinning fans, even the vibrations of passing traffic can feed them, making cities their perfect hunting grounds.
