Publisher's Synopsis
Fleeing from an abusive marriage, Kat (Kate Betterman) returns to her hometown of Yorkshire to start a fresh. Things aren't great, but she'll make do for now. She's adamant that something better will come along soon. However, she wasn't banking on that something better being a handsome man who wears designer suits and is determined in his pursuit to take her on a date. Kat's reluctant to take him up on his offer-once bitten, twice shy- and all that. She's been there, done that, and not doing it again.
But months later, after an embarrassing situation, she accepts his offer. Unfortunately, before she has the chance to meet with him, her past comes back to haunt her, and her life takes a turn for the worse.
Mason Summer has witnessed two of his brothers fall in love and settle down. It wasn't on the cards for him until he stumbled across a back street café where a beautiful waitress grabbed his attention.
After months of trying to get a date with her, she finally gives in, and they arrange to meet up. But when Kat doesn't show, Mason decides he's put enough time and effort in trying to win this woman over, so he moves on.
Or does he?
Keeping Kat is told from dual points of view and can be read as a standalone or as part of The Summer Knights series.
