Publisher's Synopsis
Henry Harris Jessup, a missionary to Syria, wrote this brief biographical sketch of Kamil Abdul Messiah-a Syrian convert from Islam to Christianity.
Kamil a young Syrian trained in the Qur'an, found no rest until the Lord opened his heart through the Scriptures. Though rejected by his own people, he turned to Christ and gave himself to gospel labor, serving alongside Samuel Zwemer in reaching Muslims with the truth.
His life was marked by humility, wisdom, and steadfast devotion to Christ. Although his earthly ministry was cut short by an untimely death from poison and he was buried under Muslim rites, his writings endure, bearing witness that "the word of God is living and active" (Hebrews 4:12).
His testimony stands as a reminder of the gospel's power to save even in the hardest of fields.
